What we offer

Your membership will give you:

  • a programme of 10 lectures during the year (our year runs September through to July). Our lecturers are all accredited by the national Arts Society.  They talk about their favourite subjects, whether it’s about paintings, gardens, music, theatre, architecture.....it’s a great opportunity to broaden your horizons through informative and entertaining speakers.
  • day trips and overnight stays to visit places of interest, organised by our committee
  • a free copy of the quarterly Arts Society magazine, posted to your address.  Colourful and informative, the magazine has interesting articles and lets you know what’s on in terms of exhibitions, study days and holidays, and discounts available
  • access to The Arts Society Connected: a range of video presentations and articles through  the Arts Society website
  • an opportunity to socialise and meet other like-minded people prior to our lectures,  with refreshments and regular book sales
  • a monthly newsletter emailed to you from the committee to keep you in touch with what we have on offer as well as other local opportunities.

Membership Subscriptions

We would love you to become a member, and it’s very easy to join. You can find the membership application form on the documents page.

For the year August 2026 to July 2027, the annual subscription is: individual - £60; joint membership - £120.  Details of how to pay are given on the membership form - you can find this on the documents page of the website.

As a registered charity, we can claim Gift Aid (a valuable 25% of your subscription).  If you are a tax payer, please complete a Gift Aid form, which you can find on the documents page of this website.

If you would like to talk to someone about membership, please email us at niddvalleyartssociety@gmail.com and give us your telephone number so someone can ring you back for a chat.

Guests

If you would like to check us out before joining, you are welcome to come along to a lecture, paying the suggested donation of £8.  This can be offset against the full membership if you join at or before the following meeting.

You may also bring a guest along to any of the meetings.  A guest can attend a maximum of three lectures before joining.
